Too BAD! This 38-year-old groom, Mr. Nze- kwe Chukwuemeka Barthlomew, died just hours before his wedding vows to his bride groom on Saturday. The late Bartholomew, a vulcanizer, died in an accident on his way to Church for his wedding ceremony in Ekwuluobia Anambra, yesterday. According to reports, he was being conveyed on a high capacity motorcycle around 9:30am by his Best Man, from their home to the church in Ekwuluobia where the bride was already waiting for him. Tragedy struck when the two friends ran into a stationary Camry car and the driver of the car suddenly opened the door oblivious of the motorcycle coming behind reportedly on a high speed. Although, his Best Man sustained minor injuries, the groom was hit hard by the door – he landed on the tarred road hitting his head against the hard surface and died on the spot. His corpse has since been deposited at a morgue while the Best Man was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

How gunmen stormed my house..sen salami

By Henry Umoru In Osogbo
A chieftain of All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Bayo Salami has described the Osun State gubernatorial election as a fight between the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and the people of the State.
According to him, in 2007, it was between the PDP and governor Rauf Aregbesola, just as he boasted that the APC had already won the election.
Speaking with Journalists yesterday after his polling unit at Olu-Ode in Osogbo, Senator Salami who give a picture of how he narrowly escaped death at the hands of “gunmen” along side his family, described the action of the people as desperation and not democracy.
He said,”This is desperation not democracy. They did it to me I saw it live. With what they did yesterday (Friday) night I now know they don’t have decorum. I now know I am open for attack. If you get to my house you will see all the evidence.”
On the election he said “today election, PDP is not winning. APC has won election in this state and we want to see how They (PDP) will‎ win.‎ ”
He told Journalists that the ‘gunmen’ stormed his residence at the Government Residential Area, GRA in Osogbo at 10:30 pm on friday.
Salami, who represented Osun Central under the Alliance for Democracy (AD) between ‎1999-2003, said that the gun men numbering about 15 including a lady, came in a bus and an Sport Utility vehicle.
The APC Chieftain’s house is less than five minutes walk from the State police command, directly opposite a court premises and adjacent the Government House.
Meanwhile, voting has commenced after accreditation of voters, just as voters in some polling units rejected the folding of ballot papers by presiding officers before the thumb printing.
At Imesi- Ile in Obokun Local government, the people out rightly rejected the move and demanded to see the ballot papers that were given to them.
Speaking further on his experience at the eve of election, Senator Salami who noted that the move of the gunmen was to take him away to ensure that he was not at his family home at Olu-Ode to vote with his people, said, “this is the place they did not want me to be with my people at the family house, Iam here.”
Alleging that the intention of the gunmen was to kidnap him and deprive him of being at the Olu-Ode area where he has massive followership, adding that the ‎gunmen who forcefully gained entrance into his compound after overpowering the security man at the gate, attempted to enter by firing severally at the door.
Senator Salami said, “at about10:05 pm on Friday about 15 men stormed my house with masked gun men in a bus and SUV. They beat up my security at the gate and carried him away. As they did all that, so me and my family moved into one room.‎
“‎They shouted open the door or will we will shoot it down. They shot at the door thinking it was a wooden door. They shot at the door several times but they could not gain entry. When you go to my house now you will see the pellets littered around.”
According to him, when they failed to gain access to him and his family, they turned on themselves, blaming one another for the failure of their mission.‎ “They fought themselves before leaving my compound. They were saying to themselves I told you we should have come here earlier,” he said.
On whether he reported the matter to the police, he said “I don’t have cause to go to police. I sent text to people who can help me out.”
He noted that he had a tip off of an intended attack on him and he then instructed his wife, who is related to the minister of police affairs, Jelili Adesiyan challenging him on what had transpired.
According to him, the minister replied, saying he does not deserve the kind of text message and allegation against him.

Nasir confirms France retirement

Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has confirmed his retirement from international football with France.
The 27-year-old dropped a strong hint last week that he had decided to cut short his chequered international career, having been omitted from the France squad that went to the World Cup by coach Didier Deschamps.
“I will only be 29 in 2016 for the European Championship, but the French national team doesn’t make me happy,” Nasri said in an interview with British newspaper The Guardian published on Sunday.
“Every time I go there, there is just more trouble. I face accusations about me and my family suffers from it and I don’t want to make them suffer, so it’s better to stop it and focus on my club career.”
Nasri made his France debut at the age of 19 in 2007 and has won 41 caps, scoring five goals, but his international career has been dogged by controversy.
He clashed with senior players during the 2008 European Championship and unleashed an expletive-strewn tirade at a journalist following France’s elimination at Euro 2012, for which he received a three-game ban.
He was also left out of the France squad for the 2010 World Cup.
Nasri’s girlfriend Anara Atanes sparked controversy in May when she responded to his exclusion from the World Cup squad with a foul-mouthed Twitter attack on Deschamps and the France squad.
“Let’s face it, as long as he is going to be the manager, I don’t think I have a shot after everything that has happened,” Nasri said of Deschamps.
“It’s not just him. He did what he thought was best for his team. I understand his choice. It is not something about him. I don’t have any problem with him. It’s just everything.
“It is not him who talks in the press, it is the press who say things about me and the players as well. Before this World Cup they were saying that some players complain (about Nasri).
“Why do you want me to be in the group with some players who can’t even be true in front of me and tell me that they have a problem? I don’t want to be there. I am not happy. I don’t want to go there any more.”
- ‘It’s just stupid’ -
Meanwhile, Nasri has claimed that the abuse he receives from fans of his former club Arsenal — who City are due to face in the Community Shield later on Sunday — did not bother him.
“The abuse doesn’t affect me on the pitch. I just think it’s stupid,” Nasri told several British newspapers.
“I’m not an Arsenal fan, I am not from London. If we want to be honest, we are players who look at what is in the the best interests for us and our career.
“When Manchester City came, it was the best choice for me to come here. And today I have won trophies, I am really happy, I have everything and I have a better life.”
Nasri left Arsenal for City in 2011, angering fans of the north London club, and has since won two Premier League titles and the League Cup.

NMA to collaborate with government on ebola

Ibadan – Dr Muideen Olatunji, the Chairman, Oyo State branch of Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), has said that the association is ready to collaborate with the state government to check the spread Ebola virus disease.
Olatunji made the statement known at a news conference in Ibadan on Saturday.
“The NMA, Oyo State branch, is ready to be part of the concerted approach by government to fight the Ebola epidemic ravaging West African countries.
“Our members are on hand to be mobilised to curtail any eventuality in the state, we only need the government to provide the required leverage before we are confronted with any issue.
“This haemorrhagic viral disease comes with documented high fatality. The situation has become an international health emergency that requires a coordinated global approach.
“The epidemic was noticed in some West African countries, such as Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra-Leone – our next door neighbours – but it has now spread to Nigeria, courtesy of an American-Liberian, Mr Sawyer.
“The virus is believed to have infected 1,779 people, killing 961 of them at the beginning of the outbreak earlier this year.
“The possibility of further international spread is there in view of the virulence of the virus.
“The weak health systems in the affected countries and those at risk of experiencing the spread of the virus, should be a cause of concern for all groups and governments,“ he said.
Olatunji explained that the non-specific symptoms of the infection could be mistaken as the onset of illnesses, such as malaria, typhoid fever, meningitis or even the plague.
He identified the early symptoms of Ebola virus infection as prolonged fever, vomiting, diarrhoea, impaired kidney and liver function as well as internal and external bleeding.
“Humans contract the Ebola virus through contact with bodily fluids of infected animals. The virus is believed to be able to survive for some days in liquids, outside an infected organism.
“However, chlorine disinfection, heat, direct sunlight, soaps, and detergents can kill it. So, people should improve their hygiene as one of the preventive measures,” he said. (NAN

ohh!! spanish priest infected with ebola.

A Spanish priest infected with Ebola will be treated with an experimental drug that has been used on two Americans infected with the deadly virus, the government said.
vaccine-Ebola
The drug called ZMapp arrived at Madrid’s La Paz-Carlos III hospital where the 75-year-old missionary was being treated in isolation, the health ministry said in a statement late on Saturday.
Spain’s drug safety agency allowed the “exceptional importation” of ZMapp under a law that allows “the use of non-authorised medications in cases where a patent’s life is in danger and they can’t be treated satisfactorily with an authorised medication,” it said.
The Roman Catholic priest, Miguel Pajares, was one of three people who tested positive for Ebola at the Saint Joseph Hospital in the Liberian capital Monrovia where he worked.
He was brought back to Spain on Thursday on a medically equipped Spanish airforce plane, the first patient in the fast-spreading Ebola outbreak to be evacuated to Europe for treatment.
Spanish health authorities said Thursday the priest was in a stable condition. The hospital is not providing medical updates for the missionary at his request.
The military flight also evacuated Spanish nun Juliana Bonoha Bohe, 65, who worked at the same hospital as Pajares in Liberia and who was found not to have Ebola.
The Spanish charity Pajares worked for, the Hospitaller Brothers of St. John of God, had asked Madrid to bring to Spain for treatment two African missionaries infected with Ebola who also worked at the hospital but the request was turned down.
One of those two missionaries, a Congolese nun, died on Saturday due to Ebola, the charity said.
There is no proven treatment or cure for Ebola, which causes severe fever and, in the worst cases, unstoppable bleeding. Some 55 percent of cases in this outbreak have been fatal.
Two Americans infected with Ebola while treating patients in Liberia have shown signs of improvement since being given Zmapp back in the United States but health authorities say it is too early to tell if the drug had anything to do with that.
ZMapp, a treatment made by private US company Mapp Pharmaceuticals, is still in an extremely early phase of development and had only been tested previously on monkeys.
The use of the medication has sparked an ethical controversy as experts call for it to be made available to African nations

mother of twins strangled to death by husband a day after delivery.

A woman identified as Titilayo Kola was yesterday strangulated to death allegedly by her husband a day after she was delivered of twins. Sources revealed that the incident took place at the couple’s apartment at No 23, Temidire Street, Ajowa area of Ado-Ekiti, the state capital. Findings further revealed that the deceased’s husband, one Mr. Kola, popularly known in as Melomelo (how many, how many), had escaped with the twins even as he was reported to have slept in the same room with his late wife, their new twins and other four children the night before the incident. Narrating the incident to journalists, the landlady of the deceased, who simply identified herself as Mama Aluko, said, “Titilayo was delivered of a set of twins at midnight on August 7. I was with her to help with the children and other things. Her husband, who has not been living with her for some time now, also came around, while her mum too was also around. “Around 8:30 in the evening, her mother told me she would be going for night vigil in her church. So, it was her husband, herself and their new twins that I left before I went to bed that night. “This morning (August 9), I woke up planning whether to prepare Semovita or fufu for Titilayo. It was around that time somebody came to inform me that they couldn’t wake Titilayo up and that her husband and the twins had disappeared.” Asked about other family members of the couple, the landlady said she didn’t know much about them, adding that Kola (the husband) came to rent the apartment about a year earlier, but, however, stopped living with his wife a few months after they moved into the apartment. Confirming the development, the Ekiti State’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Victor Babayemi, said: “It is a case of homicide and child stealing. The deceased was found dead on the bed in quite a suspicious circumstance, and the prime suspect is the husband of the woman who we haven’t seen. “So, we have a case of homicide and child stealing on our hands and we have commenced investigation.” - See more at: http://www.naijaloaded.com.ng/2014/08/10/shocker-mother-twins-strangled-death-husband-day-giving-birth-ekiti/#sthash.d8KmmxAG.dpuf

bad spread( an awareness fiction on ebola)

A tear dropped from his left eye as he thought about Anna again. How could she be dead? How? Anna, the best sister anyone could ever have. Anna, his only sister … who made so many sacrifices to ensure he went to college and become the man he is today.
Anna. Dead.
What is this life?
“Tea or coffee sir…?” Munachi – the air hostess – asked, snapping him out of his reverie. He dried his eyes and gestured towards coffee. He nodded his thanks as she gave it to him and went about her business.
He took a sip of the scalding hot beverage and didn’t even flinch. All he could think of was Anna and how he wept over her cold dead body. He had flown to Monrovia immediately he was told that she was seriously ill. The doctors had initially refused to allow him see her, saying it was unsafe, but one look at them and they obliged. Patrick was a big man. In Liberia and other African countries, big men always had their way.
That all seemed like years ago though. He had given her a quick burial and was now on his way back to Nigeria. He took another sip of the coffee and this time he felt as it burned his tongue. He let out a tiny whelp and dropped the mug. It shattered, spilling its content everywhere. He quickly made to pick up the shards, but cut his forefinger in the process. He put the finger in his mouth and sucked the blood as Munachi came to his aid.
“So sorry sir,” she apologized. “Are you alright?” she gestured towards his forefinger. He nodded, stood up, and went to the restroom.
The cut wasn’t too deep, but he had plenty of blood in him, so the red liquid flowed. He picked up a Kleenex and pressed on it. It became bloodied in seconds. He dropped the tissue in the toilet bowl and collected another. After the third Kleenex, the blood had almost stopped flowing. He pressed the knob and watched as the toilet flushed. He did not notice the tiny drops of blood he left on the knob. He turned on the tap, washed his hand and turned it off. He did not notice the blood he left on the tap head either. He dried his hand and left the toilet. Munachi had cleaned up when he got back to his seat. She offered another cup of coffee but he declined and, suddenly cold, he asked for a blanket instead. She obliged him – some of the perks of not flying economy class

Ghana's first case of ebola, so tragic i say!

After several negative scares and a near invincible general outlook concerning Ebola which has become a regional threat to West Africa, it seems Ghana just may have recorded her first case of Ebola! It is reported that on Friday afternoon, a Burkinabe man, who had general symptoms of Ebola including fever, nose and ear bleeding, was taken to the Bawku Presbyterian Hospital dead on arrival. The man was brought through the border from Burkina to Ghana by his relatives who wanted proper medical care for him but he died on the way. My question? Why wasn’t he screened at the border? with the rumours. The 32-year-old singer and TV personality who presently claims she has a business relationship with rapper Lil Wayne even after arriving the 2014 ESPYS together and seen at lavish restaurants, gets angry and it is all recorded on social media. Christina vented in the comment section of her Instagram page, after a female follower discussed her dating history and called her a gold digger. The “Dip It Low” act says she is not happy with the misconception that when a woman has nice things, it was paid for by a man. While she was dating Nick Cannon, it was rumoured that he bought her and her mother a car. She also discussed that in her rant. Read; GIRL WHO TOLD YOU HE BOUGHT ME A CAR? Or my mama? Get it right boo I BOUGHT MINE AND MY MOTHER’S. So you have assumed wrong AND/or you have been misinformed. I’m tired of ANYONE accusing my hard work and money or ANYTHING that I do as someone else buying for me. I BOUGHT it myself. I work honey. A Lot. I SAVE. And I spend wisely. Tell your friends. Your grand kids and anyone else. I’m so over hearing that bs “GOLD DIGGER” comment. I am far from that. HARD WORK PAYS OFF. I am built to work. I love what I do and I don’t expect anyone to count what I got cause y’all just don’t know. But seriously anyone claiming that statement is wrong. I could list billion things I invested into that relationship and others but I don’t have time for that.

a rumour what reading, cant stop smiling and looking forward into the case, maybe i call it sub case
